Steve Madden selected Victoria Benatar Architect, PLLC to design their flagship store. The design is inspired by the urban space where it resides on 34th street, nestled in between the Empire State Building and Madison Square Garden.
To highlight the shoes, a dramatic contrast between the dark walls and the lighted background was developed. In addition, an urban diversity was created to connect the character of the street with the showroom.
The firm produced in-house construction drawings and developed construction administration and observation.
After the renovation, sales doubled from the previous year.
